The database exclusively used by ABS is "The ABSolute". The ABSolute is a proprietary platform designed by the ABS team and implemented by a team of developers. The ABSolute monitors current investments, tracks potential managers, quantifies and stores qualitative and quantitative research and measures and maintains investment limitations, investment guidelines and investment allocations. The system – in addition to our own checks and balances, conducted through qualitative research via manager meetings and market research – provides a quantitative risk-based system that monitors our portfolios. The ABSolute also aggregates investment exposures by region, geography and sector on the underlying manager and portfolio level. This system is the product of many years’ worth of internal development and research that continues today. A substantial amount of time and resources have been allocated toward the development of our technological capabilities and the refinement of the ABSolute system.
